Cafe Information: The Columbia Café on the Riverwalk in Tampa is next to The Tampa Bay History Center and is part of The Columbia Family of Restaurants.
The Columbia Café offers a full bar and serves lunch and dinner daily with an outdoor terrace on the water and waterfront indoor table and bar seating. The bar is a replica of the Columbia Restaurant bar in Ybor City, founded in 1905. The Café is accessible through an admission-free entrance on the Channelside Riverwalk.
Our menu has been chosen to reflect some of the traditional Spanish and Cuban dishes that have made our family restaurant famous for over 100 years, as well as adding some new items only available at the Columbia Café.
The Columbia Café Tampa is located on the Riverwalk in Tampa, next to the St. Pete Times Forum. We are within walking distance from the Florida Aquarium, Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel & Marina, Embassy Suites Tampa Downtown, and the Tampa Convention Center.
Menu Favorites: Spanish Bean Soup, Columbia’s Original “1905 Salad,” Chicken and Yellow Rice, Merluza “Russian Style,” The Original Cuban Sandwich, Pressed Meatloaf Sandwich, Relleno con Picadillo Sandwich, a Variety of Tapas, Café con Leche and Flan. Children’s menu available, full bar.
Takeout available on all lunch and dinner menu items.
Entertainment: Live music outside on the Patio along the Riverwalk every Friday & Saturday night from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Banquets & Events: Our waterfront setting and venue choices will enhance any special event. We will create a customized menu for your special event: weddings, receptions, corporate parties or meetings. Our convenient location offers aerial views of The Garrison Channel waterfront, Downtown Tampa and the Riverwalk.

Background History: Spanish/Cuban Cuisine. Founded in 1905 by Cuban immigrant Casimiro Hernandez Sr. Today, all 6 Columbia Restaurants and the Columbia Cafe are owned and operated by 4th and 5th generation members of the Hernandez Gonzmart family. The flagship restaurant in Ybor City is the oldest restaurant in the state of Florida, and the largest Spanish restaurant in the world.
