The Columbia Restaurant - a Florida tradition since 1905.
The highlight of my recent visits was the snapper Alicante. The fish, a firm and fresh-tasting fillet baked in a casserole, was surrounded by a bounty of oddly chosen ingredients that somehow all worked together. Sweet Spanish onions, green peppers and almonds decorated the snapper, which was set on a mound of broth-infused yellow rice and garnished with fresh eggplant and shrimp wrapped in bacon and deep-fried. Chances were good that there would be something on the plate to like, and I liked it all.Orlando Sentinel
